Event Requests - KSA & KSA Clubs

Please submit requests based on the following criteria:

  • Less than 50 attendees - 4 weeks' notice
  • 50 or more attendees - 6 weeks' notice
  • Major events (eg, KPU Club Day) - 8 weeks' notice

Note: The KSA oversees the Birch Spaces (Birch 250 & 260) and Grassroots CafĂ©, which can be booked for meetings and events. To book these spaces, email https://kusa.ca/bookable-space/

Catering can be arranged through the on-campus food service providers.

Events with alcohol

KPU has policies regarding the Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages and the Non-Medical Use of Drugs on University Premises and Student Events Involving the Consumption of Alcohol.

The following completed documents are required to be attached to your request to have alcohol at an event:

  • Special Event Permit (SEP) is required if liquor is being provided or sold on KPU premises, as per the BC Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch. 
  • If you are planning on serving the alcohol yourself, you will also need to complete the Serving It Right course.
  • The Alcohol on Campus Form (on the right-hand side of this page) must be completed.

If you need to reschedule or cancel your event, please notify us by replying to the email confirmation.
